In this one of Mota my cat I used the contrasting blue box in the background to make her stand out.
In this one of Versace the dog I used the the rug in the foreground and placed  her head in upper corner to draw your attention.

On the top one I added a watermark and the bottom one I added some text.

The top is the original photo and the bottom is done using the clone tool.

I finally got them to load.  On the top one I used the dodge tool to lighten up the piece of salmon.  On the bottom one I made a transparent layer and set it at 50% gray so it appers transparent, then I painted it with either white to lighten or black to darken.  Whatever color you want to paint with you set to foreground.  I couldn't get the desired effect because I don't have a real mouse so it is very difficult because I'm not good with the touch pad.

So I took some photos of a salmon dish i make at work.  I also tried to change how it looked using a gray layer on top and painting it with white and black.  I also did one using the dodge tool .  The effect was cool I liked it but I also dont have an actual mouse and am not good with the touch pad so it was difficult. These are the originals pecan encrusted salmon.

The first images of each set of two are the oringinal photos and the second ones are altered.  On the first set I brightened the sky directly above the mountain and brightened the trees in the foreground to bring out the mountain line.  In the second set I took out the color and also played with the shadowing.

This is my example of cropping and layers.  The top is a combo of the following two photos.  I will try and attempt another one because i have more time this week.

These are some examples of landscapes.  I was trying to get the mountains rolling into the bottom of the picture and the hill rolling up to the sky in the second.  Im not happy with  these nothing seemed to work out  as planned this week.

Slideshow

This represents the rule of thirds.  With the object in one of the corners it feel very unbalanced.  This kind of bothers me and i dont think I would use it that much because  it is unbalanced.

These are an example of compotsition.  Its helpfull to put unimportant objects in the back ground to put more emphasis on the main object.  Its very good when composing a picture to keep things in proportion.  I like everything nice and even.

These were taken at willows crossing at about 7:30 am sunday morning.  I was expermenting with different settings and after this shoot decided to use the landscape setting.  I like how the fog put a glow on the pictures.

These photos are the same spot done in landscape mode.  I took a different amount of zoom in each photo to show different details and shawdows at the same time of day.

These photos were taken at about 6 pm in landscape mode.  Different amounts of zoom also.

This is my picture for an Analogous color scheme.  I picked this because it has orange yellow and black which are next to each other on the color wheel.  It also went we the seasonal theme.

This is my example of a Monochrome color scheme, it uses different shades of gray.

This is an example of a Complementary color scheme.  It has a few colors that contrast.

Dog Bone

I prefer the bottom picture over the the top picture.  The bottom picture shows the depth of the bone and also more texture.  The top just shows the length.  The bottom picture also leaves more to the imagination.
